DANXILS operations in Zakroczym
DANXILS has been presented with new logistics opportunities thanks to the just-completed investment in the existing ILS Logistics Centre in Zakroczym nearby Warsaw. The company has relocated its operations to a new warehouse and office facility. With more space in a state-of-the-art facility, DANXILS has gained greater flexibility and transparency of its operations. There are now six storage ramps and a dedicated disposal area. Short-term allocation of this disposal area can be made for operations that require it. The entire facility is monitored 24 hours a day.
The sites operations are controlled and managed by a state-of-the art IT system, with employees using modern PDAs. This technology ensures that operations are carried out under a strict time regime, enabling the in-night delivery schedule to be maintained that delivers shipments to the end customer.
A unique project
The project included construction of the main buildings, such as offices, halls and a social area, as well as buildings and technical facilities to house a fire pumping station and external networks. In addition, the facilities are served by a power supply infrastructure (with a 1.8MW photovoltaic installation), domestic and fire water installation, sanitary sewage system, rainwater tanks, gas installation and underground LPG tanks were built.
A major achievement of the project is obtaining a BREEAM certificate, confirming compliance with the principles of sustainable construction. The project also included the installation of energy-efficient lighting, the use of insulation materials, and energy recovery systems.
